Moscot Trunk Show, Benefiting Lifelong AIDS Alliance
October 22, 2015 @ 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Seattle, WA—Eyes on Fremont will be hosting Moscot eyewear, a New York City institution for nearly 100 years. A brand known for its classic, iconic aesthetic and craftsmanship, Seattle shoppers will be able to choose from its entire collection. For every Moscot frame purchased, $100 will be donated to Lifelong AIDS Alliance. Moscot founder Hyman Moscot began selling ready-made eyeglasses from a pushcart on Manhattan’s Lower Eastside in 1915. With three retail locations in New York, Moscot is now recognized as a global fashion brand, but remains, at heart, a neighborhood optical shop. Lifelong was formed in 2001 through the merger of Chicken Soup Brigade and Northwest AIDS Foundation. From their beginnings in 1983, Lifelong has remained a leader in the fight against HIV/AIDS and continues to be a champion of healthy lives for all by helping people with chronic illnesses such as HIV/AIDS access heath insurance, housing, food and counseling. Since opening in 1996, Eyes on Fremont has stayed committed to its vision of being a different kind of retail optical store. In addition to stocking more than 3,000 frames by independent frame designers from all over the world, Eyes on Fremont prides itself on the expertise of its licensed opticians to ensure not only a fashion forward look but also guidance on lens selection for the best possible optics. Eyes on Fremont is committed to giving back to the community by supporting such worthwhile organizations as Seattle Central Community KEXP and Real Change.
