ONE YEAR
October 21, 2017 @ 8:00 pm - 12:00 am
October is Mokedo’s birthday month and 1 year Anniversary soooooo we should probably throw a big party full of light art and music and friends right?
😀
“1 Year” will be a celebration of all that Mokedo tries to embody; community, light art, music, education, and connecting through art.
“1 year” will feature light art installations from Mokedo and other local light artists, 2D art, a silent auction, local dj’s and sound artists, refreshments, and immersive experiences for all to enjoy.
“1 year” will be a fundraising event to help Mokedo continue on the mission to create more opportunities for the light and sound artists in the PNW as well as providing a safe place in our community. If you would like to become a patron, partner, or make a large donation to Mokedo, please contact me directly. Every penny helps keep Mokedo open so that I can continue to offer events like Noisy Kids, Sight Unseen, The Conclave Sessions, Light Work and other educational and unique events that cater to all ages in our community.
Please save the date and stay tuned for more information.
I have some BIG ideas for this one!!

“Terrestrials Unpacked”
by Mokedo
“Terrestrials Unpacked” is a playful exploration and migration of light reflecting on the current population explosion of humans to the Seattle area. Opening the eyes to a playful example of what other “life forms” may bring into our world. What are they unpacking? Do we like it? Are they humans like us?

Oberon is a new piece of electronic art by Seattle artist Bryan Ressler. Named after the medieval king of the faeries, the piece captures the mystery and otherworldliness of mythical forest creatures. The piece bristles with life, energy, and motion, while creating a sense of wonder in the viewer.

Ed has been turning some heads recently in the music community with his work with the DEPTH at Contour crew. Ed’s sound range is quality and no matter the setting he always manages to tell a sweet story to his listeners. His sets will leave you grounded and elated, chewed up and renewed. On top of that, he is an avid supporter of Mokedo and well… We love Ed!
