Out and Equal Q2 Educational Roundtable with the University of Washington Out in Business club and the Foster School of Business students and leaders.
Out & Equal is proud to announce our collaboration and panel discussion with the University of Washington. Please join panelists Allie Foote from PwC, Richard Cross from Boeing, Chad Guenser-Minnick from Concur, Danny Cords from Starbucks and Jen Palmer from T-Mobile as we share corporate experiences with members of the UW Out in Business club and others. We will hold a moderated panel discussion answering questions posed by the University of Washington Out in Business club. Our hope is to have an audience of business professionals working in the corporate sector who can share their experiences with university students at UW. We are engaging with OIB, MBAA Members, MBA Students, Evans School of Public Policy and Governance and QCenter along with Out & Equal members and guests.
Questions we will explore throughout the evening:
1) What/how to create an open work environment in companies and communities
2) Developing/leveraging employee resource groups
3) Developing/sharing Ally Training, specific to Trans
***Suggested Topics***
a) What’s involved with day job as LGBTQ+
b) Workplace experiences/issues…what companies are doing and what they could do better
c) How to manage LGBTQ+ talent
d) How to ensure inclusion for LGBTQ+ talent when it comes to opportunities
e) LGBTQ+ community involvement in small business large companies

Food/Beverage: Light appetizers and beverage will be provided.
Logistics and Parking: The closest parking lots are N2 and N5. Please observe all parking signs and payment needs. As guests on the campus, please pay for parking on entry at one of the gate houses when entering the campus. Please pay for parking up to the 9PM end of the event. Between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays, gatehouse permits are sold at a rate of $3.00 per hour ($2.00 for the first 30 minutes) and a maximum of $15.00 per day. Beginning at 4 p.m., permits are sold at a flat rate of $5.00 for night parking. The closest campus bus stop is located at Stevens Way & Memorial Way served by bus routes 277, 540, 810, 821, 855, 860, 871, 880.
