Our first annual PRIDE BUILD is to take place next month at our La Fortuna site! We are bringing together businesses, non profits and individuals who support the LGBTQ community to sponsor a day of building for 9 low-income families in Renton!

There is a major correlation between LGBTQ rights and homelessness across the nation. 40% of homeless youth identify as LGBTQ despite only 13% of the general population identifying as such. The 2013 HUD study also found that same-sex couples face extreme discrimination in the private rental market in 50 American cities.

Habitat helps by partnering with diverse individuals regardless of race, religion or sexual orientation. We need the support of the LGBTQ world to spread our mission of affordable housing for all!

Our goal is $2,500 for the event and we are asking participants to set a minimum goal to raise $100 through donations, crowdfunding or sponsorships. For each $100 fundraised, we will guarantee a spot on the construction site. All of these donations go straight into the construction materials used to build our homes!
