For Pride Month in June, Gay City Health Project and Ingersoll Gender Center are teaming up for the Capitol Hill Art Walk to host an art show featuring all the wonderful LGBT organizations in Seattle as possible, and highlighting all the artistic talent within them.
We will be featuring Entre Hermanos, Seattle Counseling Service, Gender Diversity , The Sisters Of Perpetual Indulgence, The Abbey of St. Joan, U.T.O.P.I.A Seattle, Social Outreach Seattle (SOSea), Lambert House, Lgbtq Allyship, The Northwest Network of Bi, Trans, Lesbian, and Gay Survivors of Abuse, Lion’s Main Art Collective, City Of Seattle’s LGBT Commission, and more!
There will also be a poetry reading featuring renowned trans* poets Sarah Galvin and Mattilda Bernstein Sycamore! Visit Mattilda’s website here: http://mattildabernsteinsycamore.com/ and to learn more about Sarah Galvin try here: http://www.cityartsonline.com/articles/funniest-book-poetry-world
Works by artists from participating organizations will be displayed for Pride month in both the Ingersoll trans* space and Gay City outside the Seattle LGBT Library and Kaladi Bros Coffee.
The event is FREE and will be a celebration and should be a great place to network with people from a wide range of LGBT organizations in Seattle, and it will also be an opportunity for participating organizations to make their group visible to the larger community.
