Join the second installment of a 2-part series celebrating Seattle Center Festál. Live music and dance, food, and discussion will shape this special evening event. Opening performance by Gansango Dance Company.
Culture carriers, artists and historians each share their views on the value of race, identity and culture in relationship to communal celebrations. What role do ethnic gatherings have in strengthening identity? Panel discussions presented in partnership with Seattle Public Library. The panel will be moderated by journalist Angela Russell.

Ramon Isao is an author/screenwriter who received the Tim McGinnis Award for Fiction, and writing fellowships from Artist Trust and Jack Straw Cultural Center. He has an MFA from Columbia University, and he teaches at Hugo House.
Delbert Richardson is a creator, developer, and curator of The America History Traveling Museum: The Unspoken Truths. He holds numerous awards, including the Intiman Theatre Black Nativity Award, the Newman Civic Fellows Award, and most recently, the 2017 Carter G. Woodson Award. Juliet Cheatle is a cultural worker, community organizer, choreographer, and dancer of traditional Filipino dance. Born and raised from native Kalinga parents in the village of Lubuagan and Guinaang, Philippines, she was raised and nurtured in Kalinga traditional values and ways of life.
