SHRIEK: The Hunger
October 27, 2015 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
SHRIEK: A Women of Horror Film & Discussion Class is a community education series that examines the roles of women in horror films. This Tuesday, discussion leader and film buff Evan J. Peterson will lead the group in a viewing and discussion of The Hunger, one of the greatest vampire films ever made, featuring a bisexual undead love triangle among Catherine Deneuve, David Bowie, and Susan Sarandon!
Due to the length of film, the intro talk will begin promptly, and the film will begin by 7:20. Late admission will be available through 7:40.
The goal of this community series is to offer low-cost opportunities to learn about film and gender studies and to inspire more women to get involved as creators in the genre. Scarecrow Video sponsors the class in their screening room. Concessions are available on site; please do not bring outside food or drink. We reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone under the influence of hard drugs or alcohol. This is an event for community members 17 and up.
General Admission: $10 per session
Seniors 65+ and Veterans with ID: $5 per session
Students with ID and the homeless: Free
Day-of registration also welcome!
