WELCOME TO SEATTLE’S FIRST ANNUAL OFFICIAL DIY DRAG/BURLESQUE COMMUNITY SWAP MEET!

You are receiving this invite because you are involved in a community of performers across multiple disciplines who has probably amassed a mountain of outfits, props, wigs shoes and jewelry that you have worn OUT. As a community we have set up this event to give a good home to pieces we’ve loved, spent hours crafting, and want to see used even though we have move on from them.

WHAT DOES IT COST?
–FREE TO ENTER! Vendors are responsible for their own transactions; be they cash, venmo, or exchange. Squabbles over transactions will not be tolerated. If you disagree with the value set for an item, don’t buy it!
–You have the option to BUY, SELL, or TRADE your items with other shoppers or vendors with tables.

ITEM LIMITS:
— No limit on how much you can bring, but QUALITY over QUANTITY please.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
–Please be sure that all the items you are bringing to the Swap are clean and ready to be a new treasure to someone else. If any items given to the Swap are dirty, stained, pest infested – they will be thrown away. Sorry.

WHAT WILL BE THERE?
–Wigs, Frocks, Jewelry, Accessories, Shoes, etc.
–NETWORKING
–MUSIC
–GAMES and DOOR PRIZES

WHERE DO I TRY ON?
–We will have two dressing rooms set up in the forum. We also have two sets of bathrooms and a shower room available.

WHERE DO I PUT MY STUFF?
–Unless you are a vendor with a registered table, we unfortunately do not have storage for shoppers. We will have markers and tape available for you to clearly mark what is yours. Bring a bag for shopping and keep an eye on your stuff.
–While we are always careful, we cannot assume responsibility for loss, theft or damage to your items.

WILL THERE BE CLOTHES FOR ME?
–The more people we have involved, the better the selection and the more fun we will all have!

WHERE DO I PARK?
–Substantial is located at 900 E Pine (Suite 202), just East of Broadway. Familiar landmarks surrounding our building are Cal Anderson Park, Seattle Community College and Century Ballroom. Our entrance is adjacent to Sugar Pill Apothecary on Pine. Street parking is available on Pine, Broadway, and Nagel. Secured hourly parking is available in Broadway Building garage on Nagle Place (between our building and the tennis courts/soccer field).

–We are also on the bus line, street car, and very close to the light rail.

ARE THERE FOOD OR BEVERAGES?
–Water and Coffee will be provided. Plan ahead and bring a snack or beverage. Lots of yummy, local restaurants near this location as well Gotta keep up your shopping strength!

WHAT IF I GOT A GIG THAT I NEED TO GET INTO FACE FOR THAT NIGHT?
–We will have a few tables set up with mirrors, chairs, and plenty of lighting for you to get into face. Put together your look with us and continue shopping!

SHOULD I SHARE THIS EVENT?
–YES! YES! YES! However only SHARE with our colleagues in the Seattle performance industry. This is an invite only/private event. That means DRAG KINGS, QUEENS, and Burlesque Performers only.

–This doubles a great networking opportunity! So many different flavors of folks, seasoned professionals and stage newbies. Come meet your next Mentor or Foster the next Superstar!
