The 6th Annual South Park LGBTQueer Pride Picnic is Sunday, June 12, 2016!

We got a lot of fun packed into 3 hours. I hope to see you here!

We have updated the name of the picnic to be as inclusive as we have always been. LGBTQ stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender,
Queer and Questioning. Queer is a word many LGBTQ people are reclaiming today, especially younger LGBTQ people.

When: Sunday, June 12, 2016.
Time: 1 – 4 p.m.
Where: Duwamish Waterway Park
7900 10th Avenue S at S Elmgrove Street

Please bring your own lawn chair or blanket to sit on. You are welcome to bring your own picnic lunch.

The picnic returns with many familiar faces such as DJ Viquez from the popular Noche Latina club night at Neighbors on Capitol Hill, Isabella will be enchanting us with her drag queen magic again, the South Park Arts Council will feature a kids art table, and the South Park Library will be here with the latest summer reading.

We will have new bands this year, we almost have them all confirmed and will let you know very soon. You can bet they will be good to dance
to.

** And the big news is we’ll have free food for the first 200 people, and we are working to have tamales! Yes, locally hand-made tamales!!! **

The picnic is in good shape this year financially thanks to a generous grant from the City of Seattle Office of Arts and Culture and Seattle Parks
and Recreation and to many generous donors. Thank you!

~~~ Our fundraising goal for 2016 ~~~

We are partnering again with Entre Hermanos, a 501c3 non-profit, that has been such a great partner of the picnic.

We have been so blessed to have new and returning sponsors each year ~ they really make the picnic happen!

Our fundraising goal this year is $600.

We are looking for 6 sponsors who can contribute $100 each to get us where we need to be!

We’ll be glad to put your logo on the event flyer, and thank you profusely from the stage during the picnic.

We also welcome in-kind donations.
