On April 3rd, voters in Anchorage, Alaska will face Proposition 1—the worst anti-transgender ballot initiative in the country.

And I can’t help but think, it could’ve been Washington. For the last two years, anti-LGBT extremists pushed nearly identical initiatives aiming to repeal our state’s 12-year-old non-discrimination law—but together, we built the grassroots power we needed to stop them in their tracks.

Now, it’s time for Washington to step up and help our friends in Anchorage, as they work to defend their city’s transgender-inclusive non-discrimination law in the next five weeks.

You can help now by joining us here in Seattle. We’re hosting phone banks to help spread the word to Anchorage voters! Our action will be each Wednesday during the month of March! Join us March 14th!

An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us.

And no matter where anti-LGBT forces try to push their harmful agenda—in Washington or in Alaska—they need to know there is a nationwide movement committed to stopping them in their tracks.
