Join us for the next installment of The Distillery, Macha Monkey’s play reading series!

What is The Distillery? Great question! Macha Monkey believes in supporting new work, but with only two productions each season we needed more opportunities to share new plays with the community. Our solution is The Distillery, a full season of stage readings!

Actors will read the play and all attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback for the playwright. We’re mixing, mingling and distilling new ideas.

A little about the play
“A Play About Parker” tells the unlikely love story between twenty-something starving artist Parker Price and the much older John Parker. From the onset the attraction between them is evident and powerful. Despite the age difference, Parker and John decide to begin a relationship, and what follows is a love affair that is at times both uplifting and toxic. “A Play About Parker” asks big questions about relationships and the way we love.
