The Mixer / August: Northwest Film Forum’s “Local Sightings”

This month The Mixer welcomes Courtney Sheehan, Executive Director of Northwest Film Forum. Courtney is co-founder of multiple global film events including Cine Migratorio, a migration-themed film festival in Spain, as well as the Seventh Art Stand, a national film series centering those impacted by travel bans. As a journalist she covered international events including the world’s largest documentary festival. She will discuss NWFF’s Local Sightings-the only local festival dedicated to Pacific Northwest filmmaking- in celebration of the event’s 20th anniversary. Plus, find out more about artist services offered at NWFF such as access to gear, fiscal sponsorship and an editing lab. Join us!

Location: Museum of Pop Culture – 325 5th Ave N. Seattle, WA 98109 (Please enter at the Culture Kitchen Main Entrance at the corner of 5th and Harrison)
Time: 5pm-7pm
This event is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome, must be 21+ to drink.
Parking: There are many parking lots near the museum, as well as metered parking on the side of 5th Avenue N. However, make sure to read surrounding signage because there are restrictions! Please enter at the Culture Kitchen Main Entrance at the corner of 5th and Harrison
Public Transportation: The bus stop at 5th Ave N accommodates King County Metro routes 3, 4, and 82. The monorail from Westlake Center to Seattle Center is also available.
