Trans “Speed Filmmaking” Class

This 3-day filmmaking workshop will teach you basics of filming and editing a single scene. Workshop instructor: Brody Willis of Blanket Fort Films.
The class is only open to transgender, gender non-conforming, non binary, or agender people. Class size is limited to 8 people. Registration is first come-first served, suggested donation $25. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. No experience necessary!

Friday April 29, 6-9pm (Shoot Footage)
Saturday April 30, 12-4pm (Edit Footage)
The only requirement for the final product is to incorporate Translations: Seattle Transgender Film Festival artwork somewhere in the footage – we’re gearing up for Translations in May! Please join us!

What do I need to bring?
We will provide paper & pen as needed. You may bring your own notepad or laptop & tablet to use for notes if that is useful to you. If you would like to keep the footage you record, bring an external hard drive (1TB or greater) on the last day, or be prepared to download footage after the workshop via Google Drive, hosted online for a period of 1 week.
Do I need any previous experience to attend?
No.
