Isla Chanel is a dancer and musician most known for the indie dance music duo Purple Crush with husband Dj Air Jared. Isla began her dancing career in high school on Capitol Hill in Seattle WA, and moved on to New York where she performed with Steeledance and Meredith Monk. It was in NY that Purple Crush was formed, and under their label Crushed Records, toured all over North America and Europe. Now in LA, Purple Crush runs the monthly vogue and runway event, Banjee Ball. Isla competes nationally as a voguer in the Iconic House of Chanel, taking home grand prize in Atlanta, Las Vegas, SF and LA, and making it to the final battle at the Latex and Heritage Balls in NY.
