Join us Saturday, September 30th for “While You Were Sleeping” – A photography exhibition and fundraiser to benefit Lambert House. We will be offering entertainment, a chance to meet members of the extended cabaret community, and many of the photographers. There will be prints available for purchase and also through silent auction.

A chance for the waking world of Seattle to see what is happening “While You Were Sleeping,” as these tireless artists get glammed up and on stage every night of the week captured by photographers who make the same commitment to living life on a creative schedule! Fun!!

Come buy a photograph of a member of Seattle’s colorful underground community by a photographer who follows the grit and the glam while supporting safe spaces for LGBTQ youth through contribution to Lambert House!

Lambert House is a center for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth that empowers youth through the development of leadership, social, and life skills. They are currently running a capital campaign to purchase their current location and make it a permanent home or find a new location for offering services.

This exhibit, titled “While You Were Sleeping” is a tribute to the work of many photographers out late at night seven days a week capturing the ephemeral, beautiful moments of performance that takes place in unusual venues and art spaces. The prints we are displaying (and offering for sale and auction) magnify and highlight the magical and meticulous quality of our cabaret and underground performance scene.

Shots of burlesque, drag artists, cabaret performers, wrestlers, and variety acts are there for all to see. On-stage, off-stage, and backstage making magic and representing their unique personalities and sense of self and community to the world at large.
