Who is doing the scheduling for all these big national drag tours playing in the bigger theater spaces? Seattle has FIVE of them coming up in the next five weeks, all starring former contestants of RuPaul’s Drag Race, including several winners. Many of the shows are almost sold out (the ones at the smaller Neptune Theatre in the U-District) but…that’s a LOT of drag queen tickets sold!
(And, not to mention, other queer entertainment in April including Fortune Feimster’s sold out shows at the Moore!)
Coming up first, on Friday, March 29th, there’s WILLOW PILL at The Neptune…there’s a whopping SIX tickets left as of this posting! https://www.stgpresents.org/calendar/14840/willow-pill
Then, on Tuesday, April 2nd, JIMBO brings their Drag Circus to the same venue…there are 17 tickets left but most of them are rather high reseller’s tix! https://www.stgpresents.org/calendar/14582/jimbo-s-drag-circus
On Saturday, April 14th it’s SASHA COLBY’s turn to take the stage at The Neptune. Ms Colby only has FIVE tickets left!!! But, at good prices…only $27, as of this posting. https://www.stgpresents.org/calendar/14836/sasha-colby
The following week, the Head Byotch Of All She Surveys, the one and only BIANCA DEL RIO, brings her “Dead Inside Tour” to the huge confines of the Paramount Theatre. This is an easy way to judge the popularity of your favorite performer…lower level stars start out at The Neptune, then once you get a bit bigger you move up to The Moore, and once you’ve hit the big time, you’re ready for The Paramount!
If you’re big enough to need an arena or a stadium, that’s a whole different conversation, Miss Taylor…
Miss Bianca still has tickets left for her Wednesday, April 17th show, though most of the main floor seats are long gone…snag them at https://www.stgpresents.org/calendar/14913/bianca-del-rio
And, wrapping up the month of April is Monét X Change’s Life Be Lifin’ show which stops in at The Neptune on Tuesday, April 30th. That’s over a month away at this point, so there are still good seats available…that, or everyone is broke from buying tickets to the previous shows! https://www.stgpresents.org/calendar/15354/monet-x-change
The month of May is pretty chill for big shows though at the end of the month, JINKX MONSOON returns to Seattle for a month long residency at Seattle Rep with her stage partner MAJOR SCALES for their show, “Together Again, Again”. Get those tickets at https://www.seattlerep.org/plays/202324-season/together-again-again/
Then, in June, the madness of Pride Month begins with slews of talent in town at the end of the month, but on Tuesday, June 18th, The Boulet Brothers will bring their Season Five stars from their hit competition show DRAGULA to The Moore. Still good availability on those seats but…don’t dawdle. People love their freakyass Dragula drag queens! https://www.stgpresents.org/calendar/15368/boutlet-brothers-dragula-season-5
And, of course, you can enjoy seeing the current stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16 as they appear at Queer Bar on Capitol Hill. It’s your first chance to see the new crop and in an intimate sitting. Snag tickets at https://www.thequeerbar.com/
ALSO, many of these theater shows allow the UNDER 21 crowd in, so check the websites to see if they have age restrictions. These can be great opportunities for drag fans who aren’t old enough to get into bar shows. (Obviously, Queer Bar is 21+).
