The 25 year old Ohioan won the hearts of millions of fans on American Idol last season, as well as the judges, and eventually finished second to winner Lee DeWyze, the first female to make it to the finals since Jordin Sparks won in 2007. Ms Bowersox’s first album, “Farmer’s Daughter” debuted in December 2010 at number 28 on the Billboard Top 200 charts and the country singer was compared to a former “Idol” winner and described as “the anti-Carrie Underwood” by Washington Post critic Allison Stewart for her modern rock take on the country genre.
