In the “Department of Plugging Events From Our Friends” we have two options for Thursday, October 27, 2011. SGS contributor Brian Peterson, aka “The New Queer on the Block” is producing his comedy/variety show tonight at Re-bar featuring the comedy stylings of Mr. Peterson himself with assistance from another contributor, Mark “Mom” Finley and the musical prowess of Dion Vox (not a contributor to SGS that we are aware of…) The fun starts at 9pm and the cover is only $5 and once again we remind you that Re-bar is a cash only establishment. We have NO idea what to expect other than we know Brian is combing out his afro wig in preparation for tonight’s festivities. We’re assuming Ms Finley is doing the same.
Meanwhile, the ElektroPOP crowd prepares for tonight’s weekly orgy at The Baltic Room with the theme of “Little Monsters Gagaween” which we’re guessing involves lots of Lady Gaga music from DJ Skiddle, who we’re hoping is nicely rested from his recent quick trip to NYC and DJ PooBear….not to mention visuals from our own Alex Berry and hosting from our future partner in crime Mama Tits (yes, we have a project in the works…be very, very frightened!) Never a cover at ElektroPOP and the drinks get CHEAPER as they approach the witching hour.
Also don’t forget ElektroPOP’s/Sinfinite Productions Halloween spectacular, “Ravage” happening Saturday, October 29, 2011 at The Baltic Room with Mama Tits as hostess and some VERY SPECIAL GUESTS: “RuPaul Drag Race” Season 2 star Morgan McMichaels will perform with former adult film star/current hot DJ Tristan Jaxx spinning all night. Plus, a costume contest, giveaways and a cash balloon drop. You can get your advance tickets at BrownPaper Tickets. (Oh, and part of the proceeds go to Youth Suicide Prevention!)
