Out gay actor Zachary Quinto gets promoted to series star in the second season of the pop hit “American Horror Story”. The first season of the show featured Quinto in four episodes but he’ll headline season two…as a new character in an all new setting. Each season of “AHS” will feature a new plot/setting/characters but actors will recur from season to season in new roles.
From Deadline Hollywood:
Another key piece of the upcoming second season of FX’s hit drama seriesAmerican Horror Story has fallen into place. Zachary Quinto, who did a scene-stealing four-episode arc on the first season of the Ryan Murphy/Brad Falchuk drama as the Harmon house’s doomed former co-owner Chad Warwick, will be back as a series regular in Season 2, joining Jessica Lange. Like Lange, he will play a brand new character next season, which is set at an East Coast institution.
Ryan Murphy will announce soon that other actors from Season One will also appear in the next season, set to air in the fall.
And, Mr. Quinto is also busy…filming “Star Trek 2” reprising his role as Spock in the reboot of the Trek franchise.
