It’s a ways off but you did know that the “RENT” is due this July, right?

April 12, 2012• bySeattle Gay Scene

Maybe you’ve been living under a rock, but you need to be aware that the 5th Avenue Theatre is staging Jonathan Larson’s beloved retelling of La bohème, the hit Broadway musical “Rent” this July at their gorgeous theater. Not only that, but the cast is full of talented local kids, and while I don’t think it’s been officially released, there is a little rumor going around Seattle Theater Land that a certain Jerick Hoffer MIGHT be cast in the show as Angel. (And, before you have racially motivated conniptions, the role is not specifically written for a person of color…) Yes, our own “Jinkx Monsoon” is allegedly headed to the 5th Avenue for a big debut!

You can get discount tickets early for what is sure to be a popular show…”Rentheads” are notoriously loyal to their beloved musical. The 5th Avenue just announced a special deal for Early Birds who want to experience “The Season of Love” with $29 tickets for certain performances of the musical during its run in July and August of 2012. Click here to jump on the “MIMI” bandwagon.
