Last Wednesday, May 30th, Ian Stawicki opened fire at Cafe Racer in North Seattle, leaving 4 dead and others wounded before fleeing downtown where he shot and killed Gloria Leonidas. Stawicki fled in the woman’s SUV to West Seattle where he ultimately shot himself, later dying at Harbor View Hospital. As Seattle continues to cope and grieve for the victims of last week’s tragic events that left 6 dead, others have gathered together to the honor the lives of those lost. Drew Keriakedes and Joe Albanese were two of the victims of the Cafe Racer shooting, and both men had strong ties to Seattle’s performing arts community, including long stints in Circus Contraption, and performed at venues all over Seattle. On Thursday, June 7th, many in that community will gather at The Neptune Theatre, 1303 NE 45th St in the U District to honor all the victims and raise funds for their survivors. “It’s Been Good Ta Know Ya!!
