On A Budget? Get $25 Tickets To Wicked!

October 5, 2012• bySeattle Gay Scene

The beloved Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth are long gone from the cast of “Wicked” but you can still “Defy Gravity” at The Paramount when the beloved musical comes back to town for a long run from Oct 10 through Nov 17.

We know it can be tough for people on a budget to go see the big, expensive musicals that come to The Paramount, especially the popular ones like “Wicked” which makes a return appearance to Seattle from October 10th through November 17th. So, it’s good news that Seattle Theatre Group is offering a special discounted ticket lottery to buy $25 orchestra level seats to the hit show. Here’s the details:

A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held for WICKED, which is returning to The Paramount Theatre with performances from Wednesday, October 10 through Saturday, November 17.  Two and one-half hours prior to each performance, people who present themselves at The Paramount Theatre box office will have their names placed in a lottery drum; thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only.  This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person.  Lottery participants must have a valid photo ID when submitting their entry form and, if chosen, when purchasing tickets. This lottery will not take place prior to the Thursday, October 18 performance. (The special Marriage Equality benefit).

WICKED will play The Paramount Theatre from Wednesday, October 10 – Saturday, November 17. The schedule for theSeattle engagement is:

Tuesdays                                            7:30 pm
Wednesdays                                       7:30pm
Thursdays                                           7:30pm
Fridays                                                8:00pm
Saturdays                                            2:00 pm and 8:00 pm
Sundays                                              1:00pm and 6:30 pm
~ There are two special Thursday matinee performances, on October 11 and November 15 at 2 pm.

It’s a terrific deal for musical theater fans on a budget…check it out.
