The First Trailer Is Out For RPDR Season 5…Why Is Jinkx So Sleepy?

Seattle’s own Jinkx Monsoon: “First one naked!” on Season Five of RuPaul’s Drag Race…

Logo TV just released the first full trailer for Season Five of RuPaul’s Drag Race starring Seattle’s very own Jinkx Monsoon. It’s a deliciously long trailer, over two minutes, and Jinkx has her own little moments at the  :36, :51, 1:19 and 1:46 marks and there’s a BIG Interior Illusions Lounge brawl at 1:15.

It’s interesting to note that we see Jinkx/Jerick in at least THREE different outfits for his talking head interviews as a boy which would indicate that he’s there on at least three different days…

And, the list of judges for Season 5 was just announced as well:

Joining Ru, Michelle Visage and Santino at the judges table this time around will be; Maria Conchita Alonso, Joan Van Ark, Chaz Bono, Downtown Julie Brown, Coco, Camille Grammer, Marg Helgenberger, La Toya Jackson, Kristen Johnston, Leslie Jordan, Clinton Kelly, George Kotsiopolous, Juliette Lewis, Bob Mackie, Aubrey O’Day, The Pointer Sisters (Anita & Ruth), Paulina Porizkova, Mike Ruiz, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Travis Wall.

Who knew Jinkx/Jerick has an issue with narcolepsy?

The trailer also announces that the premiere NINETY MINUTE episode is Monday, January 28, 2013 at 9pm. We’re guessing that a bunch of local venues will be announcing their plans for special viewing parties…and, we’re assuming Ms Monsoon herself will be hosting one of them…

You should also know that Mr. Strangeways is very busily transcribing an interview conducted with Ms Monsoon/Mr. Hoffer that is coming very soon…we talked about ALL sorts of stuff, (not just Drag Race) including Mr. Hoffer’s upcoming role in Balagan’s production of “Hedwig & The Angry Inch” which debuts in January at the historic Moore Theatre downtown.
