Sad news to report. Gay porn superstar Arpad Miklos took his own life this past Sunday. The Hungarian born performer, born Peter Kozma, quickly became a major star after his 1995 debut starring in dozens of scenes for nearly every major gay porn company. The rugged and very masculine performer became a much sought after “top” for every bottom working in the business and Mr. Miklos was also well regarded off camera as a friendly and good natured professional.
As fans of Mr. Miklos, we’re very sad about this. Not only was the performer physically appealing, he also brought his warmth and charm to every one of his performances…always cast as the top “Daddy” in his scenes, he seldom played gruff or mean characters. There was always a lot of warmth and joy to Mr. Miklos’ performances. Unlike many sex performers, he seemed to be connected in his scenes and not your typical hollow eyed, sex and money driven hustler.
Friends have reported that Mr. Miklos had been suffering from depression. Life as a sex worker is emotionally difficult for obvious reasons. A good piece of advice for anyone considering sex work in any capacity: use it as a means to an end. Be safe, enjoy the good aspects (travel, extra money, “fame”) and, SET AN END DATE! Save your money and get out while still physically and emotionally healthy! (And, if you require booze/drugs to perform sex work, then avoid it at all costs!)

A toast to Arpad Miklos/Pete Kozma.
