We know there are still a handful of people that weep about Seattle PrideFest moving from Capitol Hill/Volunteer Park down to Seattle Center. We think those people are silly and sentimentally nostalgic. The Volunteer Park PrideFest was fine for its time…it was a simple neighborhood festival with food trucks, a few booths and…let’s face it…really bland entertainment. It was small potatoes.

Since One Degree took over Seattle PrideFest after its move to Seattle Center, the event has gotten bigger…better…more exciting and vibrant than ever before. In the old days, people would trudge up to Volunteer Park, meander around for a bit, then quickly leave for beer gardens or private parties. Now, thousands and thousands of people willingly and happily go to Seattle Center and spend the entire afternoon hanging out and enjoying the phenomenal entertainment. It’s now a big, empowering, cultural community event/party for EVERYONE.

And, this year promises to be bigger and hotter and hawter than before with a terrific line-up of performers including Mary Lambert, Kristine W., God Dess & She, Sherry Vine, Hi Fashion, Princess Superstar, Abigail and many other national and local performers and djs.

The festival starts at noon and lasts until 8pm.

Here is the full schedule of entertainment, keeping in mind there could be last minute changes. Note that there are FOUR stages this year with the addition of an acoustic stage, AND, there’s a cool new “Silent Disco” feature as well.
