Peaches Christ, Jinkx & BenDeLa Want To Put A “Hocus Pocus” Spell On You…

Just released: tickets and info on San Francisco Impresaria/Diva PEACHES CHRIST and her big, big, HUGE show for fall, her own twisted version of the sleeper Disney hit movie, HOCUS POCUS starring Peaches in the lead role originally played by Bette Midler with BOTH of Seattle’s RPDR superstars in support, JINKX MONSOON and BEN DELACREME as her evil sisters (originally portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy respectively). The spooky comedy about cute teens accidentally reviving a trio of rotten 17th century witches in Salem, MA was a disappointment upon its original release in 1993 but since then has earned cult status as a film beloved by millions, including a lot of impressionable drag queens.

That naughty Peaches is apparently one of them and she penned her own crazy version of the film and calls it  “Coven: Return Of The Manderson Sisters” . She’ll perform it alongside Jinkx and Ben before screenings of the actual film, on September 27 with two shows at 3pm and 8pm at the gorgeous Castro Theater in SFO.  A wide variety of ticket options are available, ranging from $30 general admission seats to VVIP packages at $100…Bay Area residents are advised to grab tickets NOW; Peaches and her fabulous stage productions tend to sell out.

Peaches Christ Productions Proudly Presents

HOCUS POCUS
with a pre-show theatrical spooktacular called
“Coven: Return Of The Manderson Sisters” starring
BEN DELACREME, JINKX MONSOON, & PEACHES CHRIST

The Castro Theatre, Saturday September 27th, 2014 @ 3pm & 8pm

Kick off the season of the witch with a bona-fide star-studded drag coven. On September 27th, Peaches Christ, Ben DeLaCreme and Jinkx Monsoon promise to put a spell on you!

Don’t miss a very rare theatrical screening of the Disney classic Hocus Pocus at the historic Castro Theatre featuring the world premiere of Peaches Christ’s latest stage-play “Coven: Return Of The Manderson Sisters” starring RuPaul’s Drag Race Seattle sisters Ben DeLaCreme and Jinkx Monsoon. This special event will happen one day only. The show also stars All About Evil’s Thomas Dekker & Timmy Spence, as well as New Orleans macabre snob Vinsantos as “Girdle Snow”… and MORE!

Audience members are STRONGLY encouraged to come in costume and check back here for further details, cast additions, and more information coming soon… Tickets available NOW.

Last year’s spoof of the acclaimed documentary “Grey Gardens” with Peaches and Jinkx was such a hit that it traveled to Los Angeles AND Seattle for additional performances. Given the very tightly booked schedules of all three divas, this could be very touch to replicate for this show…though we do know that Three Dollar Bill Cinema is VERY interested in repeating the success of last year’s “Grey Gardens” event which they produced during the Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival at the Harvard Exit Cinema. Jinkx’s run this October in “The Vaudevillians” at Seattle Rep which coincides with the film festival, makes this very tough to coordinate.

FINGERS CROSSED that Peaches and Company will put a “spell” on Seattle this year.

Oh, and our only quibble: BenDeLa is a bit skinny for her role. HIRE PLUS SIZED QUEENS FOR PLUS SIZED ROLES!!!
