Lily Verlaine and her Glorious House of Beauties are presenting a brand new evening of dance tonight at The Triple Door with shows at 7pm and 10pm. “Lily Verlaine Presents: Nightcap at the Triple Door: L’Edition Noire, with Special Guest, Perle Noire” will combine classical pieces from the world of ballet with stylish renditions from the world of burlesque in a uniquely beautiful way.

More info:

An explosion of never-before seen works of dance and burlesque starring Perle Noire and House of Verlaine.

This edition of Lily Verlaine’s long-running Nightcap series features the debut of House of Verlaine: An Exquisite Assemblage of Daring Classical Artists.  The company will push the boundaries of burlesque and ballet by bringing to life the hedonistic classical fantasias that live in the mind of artistic director Lily Verlaine.  The company is graced by of some of Seattle’s most accomplished and exciting classical dancers, including Tory Peil, Lara Seefeldt and Thomas Phelan of Whim W’Him, Shadou Mintrone and Davione Gordon of Spectrum Dance Theater, Marissa Quimby and Natascha Greenwalt of Coriolis Dance and Sylvain Boulet  (also known as the fabulous Paris Original.)

This performance features risqué variations on classical ballet, including Afternoon of a Faun, Tales From the Vienna Woods and Gaîte Parisienne.  The evening also features the revival of Lily’s critically-acclaimed L’Histoire de Melody Nelson, “A spectacle that must be seen to be believed”-Burlesque Saattle Press

The company is joined by Perle Noire who will be debuting two new pieces. Perle’s unique and dynamic style has earned her a spot with Dita Von Teese’s Strip Strip Hooray Tour and numerous awards from the Burlesque Hall of Fame which include, Best Debut Performer (2008), 2nd Runner-Up Overall Performance (2009) and Most Dazzling Performer (2012). Perle was crowned the first ever Queen of Burlesque at the New Orleans Burlesque Festival 2009. She also landed the #2 spot in the Top 50 Burlesque Performers Worldwide list in 2015. With a combination of glamour, seductive choreography, and stage presence, she receives a standing ovation whenever and wherever she performs.  She is, ” The Mahogany Queen of Burlesque”.

Don’t miss this one-night only opportunity to witness burlesque at its most elevated and ballet at its most audacious.
