Some Friday evening fierceness is happening this coming Friday, August 14, 2015 at the Seattle Art Museum as Legendary Children: Paris Is Burning & Beyond takes over the ENTIRE SAM building for a night of drag ball culture from 6pm to 10pm complete with DJ, performances by some lovely divas and a chance to check out EVERYTHING on display at SAM including their brilliant current show, Disguise: Masks and Global African Art.

Co-presented with Seattle Public Library, and in conjunction with Disguise: Masks and Global African Art, a fierce evening of ball culture organized by and for Seattle’s TQPOC (Trans, Queer People of Color) communities.
Walk the runway. Dance to music from Seattle’s DJ Reverend Dollars. Pose for the cameras. Watch a portion of the documentary Paris Is Burning and join the community talk back at 7:00pm. Find films, books and more that explore the ball scene.
PLUS Disguise: Masks and Global African Art will stay open late until 10pm. Free with RSVP.
