A Few Tickets Remain For Top Gun Fundraiser…Volunteers Needed As Well

March 16, 2016• byMichael Strangeways
If you bid right at the Top Gun Gala, you might get to go to this gorgy resort in Puerto Vallarta!

If you bid right at the Top Gun Gala, you might get to go to this gorgy resort, Casa de Mita,  in Puerto Vallarta!

“Top Gun” is the theme for this year’s big annual fundraiser/gala/auction/hootenanny for Three Dollar Bill Cinema, the producers of so many amazing film related queer events in Seattle including May’s Translations Film Festival and October’s TWIST Queer Film Festival, the just renamed event formerly known as “The Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival”. It’s only about 2 weeks to the April 1st shindig (no joke!) at the Museum of History & Industry (MOHAI) and a few tickets remain for a chance to support a great local queer arts organization AND also an opportunity to bid on some of their fabulous donated auction items including trips to Whistler, Italy and Puerto Vallarta plus dozens of local treats as well.
More poo, including info on how you can VOLUNTEER for the event (if you can’t quite swing paying to go) where you can help out in a different way!

We look forward to seeing you on April 1st!

Three Dollar Bill has also announced they have a new Development Director…who you can meet at Top Gun!

On February 29th David Adam Hurst joined Three Dollar Bill Cinema as our new Development Director. He moved from Tampa, Florida with his fiancé, Cory Juhlin. Most recently he was the Development Officer – Corporate and Foundation Relations for the Tampa Museum of Art. David is putting together a special package for the Annual Auction of his favorite places in Tampa. A perfect Winter getaway! Look for David and Cory at the Auction and say hello!

Welcome to Seattle, David and Cory!

About the Author: Michael Strangeways

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
