Cameron Esposito dares to go where most fear to even approach…the out lesbian comedian tackles Rape Jokes in her brand new comedy special of the same name which debuted today. She’s also distributing the special via her own website (go HERE to check it out) with a “Pay What You Can” model with proceeds benefiting RAINN, the anti-sexual violence organization.
“Rape Jokes” is unique that it’s told from the point of view of a sexual assault survivor. Esposito uses her own experience to tackle a tough subject: rape culture. And, the project came about quickly as a result of the very recent #MeToo movement and Esposito’s concern that discussions about sexual assault quickly became more about the accused perpetrators and less about the victims OF assault.
Fans of Cameron Esposito can snag tickets to her next big appearance in Seattle at The Neptune in the University Distric on October 14th on her “Person of Consequence” Tour. Those tickets go on sale this coming Friday, June 15th at 10am…go HERE!
