We Got Your Seattle PrideFest Schedule For Pride Saturday & Sunday!

People have been asking QUESTIONS about the line-up/schedule/tickets/etc for SEATTLE PRIDEFEST’S two full days of events for Seattle LGBTQ Pride Weekend on Saturday, June 23rd (on Capitol Hill) and Sunday, June 24th (at Seattle Center after the Seattle Pride Parade).

And, after LA Pride’s DISASTROUS overselling of tickets over this weekend for their 2018 Pride festivities led to very angry ticket holders not getting access to their festival, located in West Hollywood, the question has been raised, can that happen in Seattle?

Uh, no. Seattle PrideFest is entirely FREE to attend, one of the VERY few major city LGBTQ Pride festivals that doesn’t charge admission fees to attend to attend ANY part of their events. We suppose that if a million people suddenly showed up to either the Saturday/Sunday event, that that might cause a problem, but since PrideFest holds their events in public spaces without entrances, gates and fencing (other than around adult only drinking areas) that’s a problem that probably isn’t going to come up!

(And, it should be noted that OTHER for profit LGBTQ Pride week outdoor events DO charge covers. Queer Bar and The Wildrose both have multi-day fenced in festivals with passes required as does The Cuff Complex on Pride Sunday with their popular street event. None of these events are associated with PrideFest.)

Below is the schedule for stage performances for both the Saturday PrideFest events on Capitol Hill (in Cal Anderson Park off of 10th/11th and Pine Street) and on Broadway (from John to Aloha) and for Sunday’s PrideFest events at Seattle Center (for non-locals, the huge park/arts center where the Space Needle is located). Obviously, the line-up and schedule is subject to change. But, it’s all happening come rain or shine!

Also note: This is the 2nd year that PrideFest has produced both the main Sunday event and the Saturday Capitol Hill event; PrideFest took over the production of the Capitol Hill event after the previous producers couldn’t receive proper permits to stage the Broadway based portion of the festival.

Other stuff to know: the popular “Doggy Drag Contest” is happening Saturday the 23rd at 3pm in Cal Anderson Park.

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
