Also: Take The Monkeypox Survey

August 26, 2022• byMichael Strangeways

Via Public Health-Seattle/King County…they are conducting a community survey to learn more about the community’s knowledge of the monkeypox virus. They’re looking for (1) men who have sex with men and (2) transgender people who have sex with men to take part. It is totally anonymous.

Please complete their survey if you are:

  • Gay, bisexual, or another man who has sex with men — or – a transgender person who has sex with men
  • Had one or more male partner in past year
  • Older than 13 years of age

More info:

Public Health — Seattle & King County is conducting a survey to learn more about people’s current knowledge of the monkeypox virus and their experiences with monkeypox testing, care, and vaccination. Findings from this survey will be used to improve the health department’s response to the current monkeypox outbreak.

The survey includes questions about sexual behavior, sexual identity, monkeypox knowledge and where you prefer to get information about monkeypox. This survey is anonymous. Your responses cannot be connected to you, and your participation is voluntary. Your participation implies your consent for this activity.

Thank you so much for your participation!

As the Editorial Director/Co-Owner, Michael Strangeways writes, edits and does about a million other jobs for Seattle Gay Scene, Puget Sound's most visited LGBTQ news, arts and entertainment website now celebrating its 14th year as a media outlet. A semi-proud Midwesterner by birth, he's lived in Seattle since 2000. He's also a film producer who would like you to check out the Jinkx Monsoon documentary, "Drag Becomes Him" now available on Amazon.com. In his spare time, he gets slightly obsessive about his love for old movies, challenging theater, "otters", vodka, chocolate, "I,Claudius", Lizzie Borden, real books made out of paper, disaster films, show tunes, Weimar era Germany, flea markets, pop surrealistic art, the sex lives of Hollywood actors both living and dead, kitties, chicken fried steak, haute couture and David Bowie. But, not necessarily in that order.
