For LGBTQ+ baseball fans, Pride Games are a fun way to enjoy your favorite sport and be Pride-y at the same time. Despite some kerfluffles here and there with Major League Baseball, such as the recent PR disaster for the Los Angeles Dodgers who originally planned to honor the LA chapter of Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence the gay charity group that features (mostly) gay men dressed up as nuns who have raised millions of dollars for other LGBTQ groups over the years, especially HIV/AIDS groups at the Dodger’s Pride Night this June.

But, some rightwing groups pressued the Dodgers to rescind that invitation which led to major outrage from the LGBTQ community and under that even greater pressure, the Dodgers backtracked, apologized and re-invited the Sisters to be honored.

No such scandale in Seattle this year with the Mariners even going so far as to have TWO Pride nights this year, both happening this week. And, each game will have a special unique incentive to attend.

On Tuesday, June 13th the Mariners will face the Miami Marlins and LGBTQ fans can buy specially priced tickets and receive a limited edition Mariners Pride t-shirt.

On Friday, June 16th, same deal with specially priced tickets but the “goodie” is a Mariners Pride fanny pack. OH, and with the Friday game, you’ll also be treated to one of the Mariners special fireworks shows as well.

A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit the GSBA scholarship fun.
