Entre Hermanos Has Fun Events For October: Drag Lotería and Día de los Muertos Gala

Entre Hermanos, the local non-profit advocacy group for the health and wellness of Seattle’s LGBTQ+ Latine community has two big events happening in October. First up, a free/all ages Drag Lotería: Glamour, Games and Guacamole happening on Tuesday, October 8th, then their big annual fundraiser/party Día de los Muertos Gala on Saturday, October 26th with very special guest, RuPaul Drag Race star, Jessica Wild!

First up is the Drag Lotería which is happening at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Discovery Center on Fifth Avenue across from Seattle Center on Tuesday, the 8th from 5pm to 7pm. It’s a fun family friendly even (and FREE to attend) hosted by Isabella de la Rosa. Join the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Discovery Center, Entre Hermanos, Gates Foundation Employee Resource Groups Latinos in Philanthropy, and Out for Good for Drag Lotería: Glamour, Games and Guacamole with our MC/Host Isabella de la Rosa and performances by Meldoday Lush Paradisco. Catering will be provided by Cafecito Mexican Bakery.

Drag Lotería is a type of bingo game that is popular in Mexican culture. Instead of calling out numbers, drag queens perform on stage and participants mark off the corresponding character or image on their loteria cards. This event will include delicious food, exciting prizes, and lots of fun.

An even bigger event is their annual Día de los Muertos Gala 2024 (aka “Day of the Day”) which will take place on the 26th at the Sheraton Grand. Obviously, this is a ticketed fundraiser and you’ll need to go to https://entrehermanos.org/event/dia-de-muertos-gala-2024/ to snatch your tickets.
