Steve Grand became a star and an Internet sensation after coming out in July of last year. The attractive singer/songwriter garnered nationwide attention for being a pioneering out male country western star. It also didn’t hurt that the singer isn’t shy when it comes to beefcake photos and videos…
Ms Wright probably has the right to call herself the first pioneer in C/W music as the first major female star to come out in May of 2010. The multi million selling artist was praised for her coming out, a move that cost her many conservative fans (and thousands of dollars in lost revenue) but earned her many more new fans in the LGBTQ community. Since then, Wright was the star of her documentary, WISH ME AWAY which played in Seattle in 2011 at the Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival.
