The Allure of Alyssa Edwards

October 19, 2018• byMichael Strangeways
The allure of Alyssa Edwards....

The allure of Alyssa Edwards….

Well….I gave it a shot.

Briefly.

I’m talkin’ about drag diva ALYSSA EDWARDS and her new show on Netflix, DANCING QUEEN, a ten episode reality series focusing on the RuPaul’s Drag Race star at home in Texas running her dance school in suburban Dallas.

I hated it.

Well, hate is a strong word. It just wasn’t for me. I kinda suspected that Dancing Queen was gonna be a rip-off of “Dance Moms” and that’s exactly what it is except it has a kooky drag queen running things instead of the monstrous Abby Lee Miller dealing with crazy moms and their non particularly talented daughters.

I j’adore Alyssa Edwards but apparently I j’adore Alyssa in 5 minute increments on funny web series shows. An hour of Alyssa (and her boy half Justin Johnson) is a bit….much?

Anyway, here’s Miss Alyssa on a web show for Allure Magazine basically doing one of those hyper popular make-up tutorials. She’s fun here!

‘Cause it’s six minutes long….

Alyssa Edwards, a contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 5, show us her drag transformation tutorial. Catch Justin Johnson (a.k.a. Alyssa Edwards) in his Netflix original docu-series “Dancing Queen” available now. But, not necessarily in that order.
