Hey everyone it’s that time of year again, the time we get together and remember all our community has done to get us where we are. As this year is the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots let us gather together and celebrate how far we have come, and ready ourselves for the future before us. This year the event is brought to you by members of “Gig Harbor Queer Families”, group founded from the momentum built by the amazing young person that put 2018’s Gig Harbor Pride together. We hope to continue to carry on the event that they created and bring everyone together once again.
As last year we are thinking that this should be potluck/ picnic style. But we would not discourage any local food trucks or food vendors that would want to come by, as I am sure there will be hungry customers. We will be gathering at the picnic shelter next to the play ground.
Also this is a family event so everyone is welcome to bring kids, fur babies, and the like. We cannot wait to see and meet everyone again. And let us remember that this specific event was created by a Gig Harbor GSA student last year so if you are looking to give back please contact one of the GSA or Pride clubs at the schools to see how you can help volunteer or donate. These amazing children are our future and deserve our support.
