Gay City Health Project wants you bitchez healthy, so they’re GIVING AWAY, 5000 HIV Testing Kits over the course of the weekend and they are starting TODAY, Thursday, June 27 at the Gay City HQ as part of the “Big Gay 5k Giveaway” AND to honor National HIV Testing Day. Stop by their offices at 517 East Pike from Noon to 3pm to grab yours today, or, do so at any of the other giveaway sites: at Trans* Pride on Friday; Capitol Hill Pride on Broadway on Saturday, or PrideFest at Seattle Center on Sunday.
Also at Gay City and opening tonight, the talented kids of QTET, Queer Teen Ensemble Theatre open their 2013 show, “Bad@$$es: Are We Queer Enough For You?” in Gay City’s Calamus Auditorium at 7:30pm. We already showcased the kids in this post; we urge you to check them out tonight, or the next 3 nights. They always put on a terrifically entertaining and thoughtful show.
Most of the bars have sort of Pre-Pride nonsense on tap as well. R Place has Jujubee and “Poop Noodle” singer Wendy Ho on hand…though, Miss Ho is on Mr. Strangeways’ shit list for defriending me on Facebook a week after friending me…Cow.
Neighbours has a special Pridey Rock Lobster…The Eagle has a “Pre Cum Pride Event: Jock Out w/Your Kock Out” with DJ Freddy King of Pants…who, will presumedly REMOVE said pants at some point in keeping with the trashy theme and inelegant but highly arousing theme/title of the event.
The kinda/sorta/what the fuck is it trying to attract Q Night Club has a special DRAMA Thursday with a bunch of EDM superstars that Tranma has never heard of…but, she IS old and out of touch and EDM makes her sciatica flare up.
The Hard L Gallery has an awesomely named queer art show: QUEERVOYANT opening tonight for a weekend long showcase of queer artists of all ilks. We love the poster and we love the idea…please check it out. If you don’t have a clue where the hell Hard L Gallery is, then check out this poo:
