Real Change’s Homeless Speakers Bureau is a group of homeless and formerly homeless people who speak about their personal experiences with homelessness. Speakers help educate the public, facilitate conversation, and inspire social action. Speakers will share their experience of homelessness, dispel some myths, and discuss the unique challenges women face while experiencing homelessness. There will be time for questions and answers.

From gun violence to climate change and everything in between, local youth activists are setting the pace and inspiring progressive change. Youth and adults are invited to come learn about this work, get connected to resources, and be inspired to get involved!

TRANS AWARENESS – Presented by Gender Justice League.

What is the difference between trans, gender non-conforming, and inter-sex? What are the ‘correct’ pronouns to use with a trans person and why does this matter? What should you do if you accidentally mis-pronoun someone? What’s the big deal with bathrooms? This session will answer basic questions like these and offer insight about how to support trans people in our community.
