The Future is 0 is a live game show featuring local artists from different disciplines competing against each other in a battle of physical, mental, and psychological challenges. What started as a DIY art project in a living room by two best friends followed by incubation and a season of co-production at Northwest Film Forum has blossomed into a hybrid theater/sketch comedy/experimental television spectacle like none other.

Think Double Dare but for depressed people. Buy a ticket for your best friend or worst enemy. But whatever you do, just come.

CONTESTANT #1: CLYDE PETERSEN
Clyde is an animator, punk rocker, queer artist, and national treasure.

CONTESTANT #2: JULIA SHAPIRO
Julia Shapiro is a fickle Libra who plays music in Chastity Belt, Childbirth and Who Is She. She has a mild temperament and an upbeat indifference. She is very obedient and likes to be taken on long walks — the perfect fit for a quiet home that could give her both the affection and the alone time she requires to thrive.

CONTESTANT #3: EL SANCHEZ
A queer/trans/non-binary comedian and writer, El Sanchez has been performing all over the country since 2010. They have appeared on NPR, the Nerdist network, have been interviewed by Teen Vogue and in 2016 HelloGiggles.com included them in their article “4 Latinx Comics You Need to Know Right Now Before They Blow Up.” Their debut comedy album “Hard Femme/Soft Butch/Werewolf” will be released in the summer of 2018.
