The Whim W’Him dancers will be wearing Issey Miyake garments from Totokaelo for the evening, which will also include a short preview performance of one of the works in our XPRESS triple bill and a conversation with Olivier, Sidra, Ihsan and the Whim W’Him dancers. BE CURIOUS . . . don’t miss our January 2020 production, XPRESS, featuring world premieres from three seasoned and internationally celebrated contemporary dance makers. Making her Whim W’Him choreographic debut is Sidra Bell, from New York City. Sidra is the winner of the 1st Prize for Choreography at the Solo Tanz Theater Festival 2011 in Stuttgart, Germany, and the founder of Sidra Bell Dance New York. Ihsan Rustem is coming back to Seattle all the way from Switzerland to set another new creation on the Whim W’Him dancers. Rustem is the winner of Sadler’s Wells Global Dance Contest 2012. Whim W’Him Artistic Director and Founder, Olivier Wevers will also be creating for this program tailored for the contemporary dance enthusiast who craves innovation and celebrates artistic exploration.
