Neighbours gets into the holiday spirit with Rock Lobster tonight, and a big NYE bash.

We’re in the dog days of the Xmas Holidays as we count down to the day itself, and there’s not a ton of new events going on in the next couple of days, but if you’ve already seen some version of “Christmas Carol”, “The Nutcracker” or one of the 1700 drag/burlesque holiday shows going on then you might be in the mood for a little “Rock Lobster”…especially if you’re keening for the hits of the Eighties. Hostess Glamazonia is putting the finishing touches on her special holiday outfit, and it should be ready just in time for tonight’s final “Rock Lobster” of 2010. Head to Neighbours at 10pm for the frivolity.

Neighbours is also prepping for the big Wendy Ho show for next Tuesday, the 28th, as well as for their New Year’s Eve bash on the 31st. It’ll all start with a “Very Special Version” of “Lily Armani: unTucked” at 8:30pm ($10 cover/Free with military ID), followed by the NYE Party with DJ Randy Schlager and Hostess Gaysha Starr and special guests, Smokee, Penelope, Bianca, Katsumi, and Tanya in a tribute to the biggest hits of 2010. Your $10 cover also gets you a champagne toast and “some interesting surprises”. (It’s nice to see that the majority of queer LGBTQ events are capping out at $10…people can’t afford big buck cover charges in this economy…)
