For those less inclined to shake their fuzzy moneymakers in a dark bar, (or, for those of you who enjoy BOTH) there’s a BIG theater event opening this coming Tuesday, February 8 at The Paramount with the opening of the national tour of the huge Broadway musical hit, Rock of Ages. The retro Eighties musical features a soundtrack full of MOR pop/rock hits from REO Speedwagon, Journey, Pat Benatar, Night Ranger, Asia, Poison, Styx and many other iconic musicians. Starring Tony nominee/American Idol finalist Constantine Maroulis reprising his Broadway role and a cast of sexy, soulful young actors and performers, Rock of Ages has generated a cult of enthusiastic fans of all ages. Tickets are still available for the show which runs February 8 through the 13th. It’ll be a fun night of retrospective nostalgia…now, if only I can find my parachute pants and Dee Snyder wig…
