As I write this, it’s nice and springy outside, but I think we’re all jonesin’ for some summer “heat”. Few of us can afford to jet off to the tropics so we’ll have to settle for some imaginary sun, sand, and scorpions at Tuesday night’s big “Palm Springs Summer Splash Pool Party” at Lobby Bar. Yes, it’s a blatant commercial event put on by the fine folks from the Palm Springs Desert Gay Tourism Board, (that’s a mouthful) and Stolichnaya Vodka, (also a mouthful….of deliciousness!), but who cares? There will be a Stoli Cocktail Contest, hunky swimsuit models, prizes and giveaways and hostessing by the tallest queen on the planet, the lovely Glamazonia. And, dudes in skimpy swimsuits. (Yes, I already mentioned that, but I thought it worth repeating…)
Check it out regardless if you love or loathe the desert.
