Stuff To Do Not Related to SIFF. Sunday, 5/29/11: GRIND it up, baby! Plus, fun at Wildrose / Havana / Cuff.

For manly mens, and those who love’em, there’s Lobby Bear 8 this afternoon/evening starting at 4pm…we’re guessing there might be a few rugby dudes hanging around, if they didn’t make it the Magnitude finals. Then, after Lobby Bear ends at 8pm, there’s a couple of different options. Two Knights is putting on GRIND at Neighbours Underground with DJs George Delmar and SpaceOtter. Free entry until 9pm then only $5 after…it’s going to be hot, hot, hottest…unlike the meager weather we’re having this weekend.

We’re guessing there could be a lot of foot traffic between GRIND and the Cuff Complex tonight as well…Seattle Quake is having their afterparty for their Magnitude Rugby Tournament starting at 9:30pm ish. Guessing hot rugby players from all over the continent will be bopping back and forth between venues all night long but the rumor mill is suggesting Mr. Ben Cohen won’t be one of them…for the primary reason, he’s not a gay man and probably not interested in being ogled by lusty fans for hours on end, but who knows…maybe he’ll surprise us.

For da Ladies, the Wildrose is hosting a Dance Party with DJ Lady Jane to ring in “summer” and revel in the start of the Seattle Storm’s 2011 season. Happy Hour pricing all night long and the party starts at 8pm (but, we’re pretty sure it’ll be fun before 8pm as well…)

Meanwhile, for those of you who aren’t into the beef brigade or lady loving action, and like a more mixed atmosphere (ie de geighs and de non-geighs) there’s Seersucker with DJ Nark and Sean Cee at Havana Social Club. The tunes start at 9pm, there will be drink specials and you’re encouraged to wear white or seersucker to start out the “summer” season in proper sartorial mode. (PS: that’s SEER sucker and not the other kind of “sucker”…though, we’re guessing there will be some folks wearing THOSE kind of outfits as well…)
