Hmmmm….

From The Department of Poor Planning/Gay Athletic Fundraising Events Subdivision, comes the odd pairing of TWO beloved annual sporting events happening back to back on the last weekend of the month.

Opposite The Capitol Hill Block Party.

EEEEEEEEK!!!!!

Up first: “Jockstraps & Glitter”, the kickball event produced by The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence-The Abbey of St. Joan and Seattle Quake Rugby. It’s at Bobby Morris Play Field Cal Anderson Park at 2pm on Saturday, July 26. Mo’ Poo:

Join us at Bobby Morris Play Field next to Cal Andersen Park in the heart of Capitol Hill on Saturday, July 26 at 2PM. It’ll be a sporty, ribald, and REVEALING afternoon, hosted by DonnaTella Howe on the bullhorn to keep things going. Watch us run, kick, catch, and tumble with the rugby boys, who’ll do ANYTHING for a buck. And so shall we!

Our fantastic umpires, current Seattle Leather Daddy Mike Daggs and Seattle Daddy 2010 Mark Handel, will be calling the shots and will making sure we don’t get too far out of line.

We’ll be cheered on by the Seattle Pups and Handlers (SEA-PAH) and the Capitol Hill community, who’ll be opening their pockets to make us yank trousers, pull shirts, snap waistbands, pop veils, and OH, YEAH!!…cheat.

Money being raised this year, goes toward the Sisters’ Granting Fund for 2014/2015, Quake Rugby, and the Seattle Humane Society.

For someone on so many “Blacklists”, Miss DonnaTella Who sure does get a lot of work…

Meanwhile, back at Bobby Morris Play Field at Cal Anderson, the action heats up the following day, SUNDAY, July 27 at 1 pm with the baseball event, “Bat ‘n’ Rouge” featuring our favorite jockey dykes, Team Lez-Broz versus The Drag Queens:

In this years Bat ‘N’ Rouge 2014! Support your Lez-Broz as we take them Queens down! There will be wigs a flyin’, a powder puff a puffin’ , and laughter galore! You never want to miss this not so average soft ball game, like ever!

This is a fundraiser dressed up as a softball game. to support Seattle Area Support Groups. sasgcc.org

Entertainment of all sorts occur around and in the game itself. Like no other softball game you’ve ever seen!
Gates open at 1:00pm, game starts at 2:00 Festivities ends by 6:00.

Tickets are a $5.00 donation available at the gate or from team members at various events around the area.

As I already mentioned, both of these events are happening the same weekend as Capitol Hill Block Party, so plan accordingly…parking in the area will be TERRIBLE!

WALK to the park to support these fine fundraisers!
