It’s happening Saturday, September 24 starting at 9am at Volunteer Park…the 25th annual Seattle AIDS Walk/Run benefiting Lifelong AIDS Alliance and their many excellent programs including Chicken Soup Brigade which helps feed people living with HIV/AIDS. You can participate in a multitude of ways: Walking, Running, Virtual Walking and most importantly of all, GIVING a few bucks in support of the cause. Sadly, HIV/AIDS is still a fact of life despite the numerous advances in treatment and money is still needed to treat people living with the disease and to help fund new treatments and cures. Go to the Lifelong site to donate or sign up for the Walk/Run or click here to donate to Team Seattle Gay Scene. Every dollar you contribute helps someone in our community.
Besides the Walk/Run itself, there are other events associated with the event. Tonight, Wednesday, September 21 there will be a pre-AIDS Walk Happy Hour hosted by Philanthro at Cafe Kanape, 700 Broadway East, Suite D starting at 6pm. Here’s the info.
Come learn about our latest campaign for the AIDS Walk and more about Philanthro or just meet some new people.
Get together with Philanthro and non-Philanthro members alike to eat, drink and socialize. Happy hour specials all night courtesy of Cafe Kanape.
