Manila Luzon FINALLY makes it to the metro area!

It’s been a year since her national debut on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season Three, but the Minneapolis born/NYC located Filipino drag diva Manila Luzon quickly became a very popular contestant on the show, eventually becoming the runner up to the winner, Raja. Since then, Raja and many of the other Season Three gals have performed in the Seattle Metro area: Alexis, Yara, Shangela and Mariah have all turned up on local stages including R Place and LeFaux. But, the beloved Manila has never managed to make it to town, (rumor has it, she had a high quote…girl wanted some $$$ to grace the Emerald City.)

Now, I don’t know if she lowered her quote, (let’s face it: A “Drag Race” queen’s 15 minutes of fame and high quotes can disappear pretty quickly. There’s always a new batch of fish to take their place…) OR, if Tacoma’s The Deltan Club has a vault full of cash, but they’ve booked the Divine Luzon to appear on Saturday, February 25, 2012 for two big shows at their newish club at 733 Commerce Street which is downtownish Tacoma.

The Deltan has also lined up Seattle’s own Mama Tits, Portland’s Kim Chi and Hawaii’s Mystique as co-performers. There are shows at 7pm (All Ages) and 10pm (21+) and you have to CALL The Deltan Club to book your seats, (apparently they’ve never heard of BrownPaper Tickets or any other ticketing service…)

I’ve tried to politely tell them via Facebook more than once that ALL CAPS are annoying as fuck to the majority of people over the age of 14 but whatevs… As for those prices, that’s apparently what they charge for a regular show; not sure if this “special” show will be in the same (expensive) ballpark.
