Wake UP!

February 29, 2012• byDC Williams

Is anyone else excited about sexy English actor Jason Isaac’s making the jump to the small screen in NBC’s new cop drama “Awake?”

According to NBC’s website “Awake” is:

“Awake” is an intriguing drama about a detective (Jason Isaacs, “Harry Potter,” “Brotherhood”) who finds he is leading an arduous double life that defies reality.

Basically Isaac’s character Michael Britten survives a car accident but finds himself in two realities.  One in which is teen son is dead but his wife survived and another where his wife died but his son survived.  Each reality has its own color coding to keep things less confusing and more gay.

Isaac’s is joined by the sexy-Latin actor Wilmer Valderrama as his partner and cop show psychiatrist mainstay and openly gay actor BD Wong as one of Isaac’s shrinks.

The plot of this show intrigues me and I hope NBC can pull it off but let’s be honest.  I am mostly hoping for some sort of tense, homoerotic fighting in the police station locker room.  If I can’t have that I will settle for a well-executed, unique cop drama.  Either way I will be reviewing “Awake” here on Seattle Gay Scene starting tomorrow.
