Les whined at you the other day…now it’s my turn. We won’t achieve equality, unless you vote! We’re pretty sure a majority of our readers our good citizens and are already registered, but in case you haven’t, here’s an opportunity to sign up courtesy of Washington United for Marriage, Equal Rights Washington, King County Democrats, 43rd District Democrats and Lobby Bar. It all goes down Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Lobby Bar, 916 E. Pike Street, from 10am to 2pm.
Please join Washington United for Marriage, Equal Rights Washington, King County Democrats, and the 43rd District Democrats for our first official marriage equality / pro-Referendum 74 voter registration drive! We will be expanding the electorate in progressive, pro-marriage equality Seattle to help approve Referendum 74 in November.
The Lobby Bar is opening their doors extra early for us and we’ll be providing munchies, coffee, good company, and a chance to be involved in something amazing!
Sign-in registration starts at 10 am sharp. Shortly after, we’ll hear a few kick-off speeches from community leaders and elected officials, we’ll provide a short training, spread out in small groups, and then head out to conquer Seattle.
No experience is necessary, and we’ll provide all the training and materials you need. Dress for Northwest weather!
Spread the word, post on your Wall, invite your friends, let’s make this huge!
